La Colline-Chamonix

Someone said ‘the hill that thought it was a mountain’ - the name stuck.

This fine art photograph was taken at La Jonction, on the Mont Blanc ascent route via the Grands Mulets in Chamonix.

It features Francois Damilano, an alpine and himalayan alpinist,  more familiar with extreme altitude environments , on a small piece of ice below Mont Blanc

The contrast creates a poetic and slightly surreal scene.

Free from performance, the image focuses on perception and imagination within alpine landscapes.

An award-winning and widely published work, appreciated for its unique visual narrative.

Limited edition photograph: 30 prints in total.

Print available for sale: No 17/30.
